In 2010, the Hebden Bridge Community Association took over the underused and neglected Town Hall, with an aim to bring it back to life and rebuild a community hub.
Based in Halifax, Hebden Bridge Community Association have over 30 council offices and public/ conference facilities.
Key Outcomes:
30 MB dedicated bandwidth
Superfast connectivity
Hosted telephony system
No requirement for costly in-house IT management
The Challenge:
The overall aim was to make The Town Hall a place for local people and groups to meet and work, providing a range of services and activities for businesses and visitors. To make this possible, the Town Hall required suitable IT facilities and infrastructure to meet a range of needs.
Broadband in the area was poor and the Town Hall required a cost-effective solution for superfast, reliable WiFi and a secure tenant network. The previous onsite telephony system was expensive, a cost-effective replacement was required.
The Solution:
razorblue came up with a package of services to offer a state-of-the-art IT solution at a cost-effective price. The package included a combination of their own fibre connectivity services, hosted telephony and unique managed services for Multi-Tenant buildings.
To keep monthly phone costs down, razorblue provided a 30mb dedicated bandwidth and a VoIP system. Everything is managed and remotely monitored by razorblue, resulting in massive cost savings per year on on-site IT management.
The Town Hall is now a popular venue for meetings, conferences, events and weddings.
