The Challenge
In addition to providing Halsalls with Managed IT services they also required assistance in fortifying their email security. With a lack of advanced email security measures in place, they were growing increasingly susceptible to spam, sophisticated phishing attacks, and were experiencing a large number of impersonation attempts. Due to the nature of the business and the high volume of sensitive client data they were handling it was critical they safeguard client information and maintain operational continuity.
As a result, Halsalls set out to fortify their email security framework and as email remained the primary mode of communication within the organisation, ensuring its integrity was imperative. Despite Microsoft having an extremely high level of security, its widespread use means it can be a target for cyber threats and so we proposed the implementation of additional Mimecast Email Security.
The Solution
Working closely with Halsalls, razorblue implemented Mimecast to proactively protect against email threats against all users. This solution bolstered email security for all users while ensuring operational efficiency remained intact. Key components of the solution included configuring the Mimecast tenant, onboarding customer email domains, routing all Microsoft 365 inbound/outbound emails through Mimecast, and licensing Mimecast Security (S1) for all users.
Additionally, Mimecast’s comprehensive protection encompassed antivirus, antispam, advanced threat detection, data loss prevention, and content examination.
