Catterick-based IT specialists, Razorblue, are supporting a North East charity as it relocates its centre to cope with a continued growth in demand for its services.

Heel and Toe provides therapy and support to children with cerebral palsy and other physical difficulties and the charity has recently opened a new specialist therapy centre in Pelton, near Chester-le-Street.

Experts at Razorblue have been assisting with the move of Heel and Toe’s IT infrastructure and have also pledged to provide a year’s free IT services for its new base in Pelton.

Razorblue, which employs a team of 30 and is based at Colburn Business Park with offices also in Newcastle, Leeds and York, specialises in consultancy, managed IT services, hosted solutions and connectivity. Clients include large companies such as Sports Direct, local authorities and public sector organisations and a range of SMEs.

Heel and Toe was established in 2008 by a group of parents concerned at the closure of services for children and families affected by cerebral palsy in the County Durham area. In its short history, the charity has grown to such an extent that it now provides conductive education therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, short breaks during school holidays and special educational needs tutoring.

Razorblue’s technical director, Dan Kitchen, said: “Being able to support such an amazing regional charity is very important to us as a business. Charities are often unable to afford the best IT services that they so desperately need to help them provide their services or access materials that can help them with growth or funding. The team at Razorblue has already started work on the relocation and we’re looking forward to being their IT partners for the next year.”
